The American Conservative Union (ACU) has named Kellyanne Conway the next “Conservative in the Spotlight,” a distinction awarded to a conservative leader who acts boldly to defend conservative principles.
“Kellyanne Conway is a brilliant message crafter who, unlike many political advisors, is guided always by her conservative philosophy and her strong convictions,” said ACU Chairman Matt Schlapp. “She has been a constructive member of our Board of Directors at the American Conservative Union and can always be relied upon for direct and honest counsel. In addition, the promotion of Kellyanne to campaign manager serves as an important message to conservative and libertarian voters across the country that leaders of the conservative movement, like Kellyanne, are at the very center of the Trump/Pence effort. We are proud of our colleague who we know is up to this important challenge.”
Kellyanne’s success in life has been built on a solid foundation of conservative virtues and principles, including faith, family, hard work and an entrepreneurial spirit. She grew up in New Jersey in a supportive home with her Italian Catholic mother, grandmother and aunts and also attended Catholic school. Then she strove to earn her undergraduate and law degrees and excelled in doing so. After working hard at other firms to master polling and marketing, Kellyanne showed her entrepreneurial spirit by taking the risk to establish her own business venture. And, like many women across America, Kellyanne still manages to make it a priority to help care for her own family of four children and a husband while she pursues her busy career.
In addition to leading the Trump/Pence campaign, Kellyanne is the Founder and President of the polling company, inc. a nationally-regarded primary research, polling, and consulting firm, as well as a Woman Trend, a marketing consulting firm. As a pollster, she has served to further conservative principles by advising and conducting polling for numerous candidates for various offices. Kellyanne started in the business by working for Ronald Reagan’s former polling firm, the Wirthlin Group. During her career, Kellyanne has worked with many notable conservatives, such as Jack Kemp, Dan Quayle, Newt Gingrich, Fred Thompson, Mike Pence and Ted Cruz.
As Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn told the Wall Street Journal, “[Kellyanne is]
one of those individuals you have on speed dial. She has good instincts, gives good advice and is very thoughtful. I think her impact on the Trump campaign will be significant.”
