UFC president Dana White told Covington if he could win his bout at UFC 225, he would make sure his dream would come true and meet President Donald Trump. Both men kept to their word.

Colby Covington went on to defeat Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 225 and crowned himself the interim UFC welterweight championship. Both fighters lasted the entire duration of the scheduled five round fight but Covington edged dos Anjos via an unanimous decision.
Immediately after Colby Covington was deemed UFC welterweight champion, he told the world he wanted to take his belt to present to President Trump inside the Oval office. During the week Covington provided the proof that he kept his word, tweeting a picture of himself proudly standing next to President Trump inside the oval office.

“Like @POTUS @realDonaldTrump always says, Promises made. Promises kept! Pleasure to finally meet you, Mr. President. Thank you for always putting America first! #maga #GreatAmericanWinningMachine.” Read the caption on Covington’s tweet.

Colby Covington was not the only person excited to visit President Trump in the Oval office, UFC president, Dana White was in attendance and has always strongly supported President Trump and his mission. White was a part of Trump’s 2016 Republican National Convention and even called Trump the “fighter” and “leader” our country needs.
Dana White has defended Donald Trump on multiple occasions, White even accredits Trump with “helping the UFC out of tough times.” During an interview last year Dana White called President Trump “one of the most stand-up human beings that I have ever dealt with in the business.” White has had a long lasting business and personal relationship with Donald Trump, well before he became the president of the US.

Dana White has been one of the few celebrity figures that has been unafraid and unapologetic for his public stance on believing athletes should stand for the national anthem, along with his deep support of President Donald Trump. Thank you Dana! Congratulations Colby Covington! MAGA.
