The argument that fast food restaurants and minimum wage jobs in general should raise their pay to $15 an hour was just shattered by McDonald’s new marketing campaign.
McDonald’s, who has already defeated the #FightFor15 by replacing people with computers at their stores, continues to put nails in the coffin of that campaign with their new ad.
The ad, which you can watch below, shows a McDonald’s restaurant staff excited that one of their own was accepted to college and is quitting the restaurant. It then boldly declares that McDonald’s is “America’s First Best Job.”
This is in stark contrast to the overarching progressive message, which foregoes personal responsibility and puts the onus of personal advancement on corporations.
