As we close in on the 15th anniversary of the tragic attacks of September 11, 2001, Homeland Security, and the lack thereof, are once again taking center stage
During an already contentious Presidential campaign, the parties and candidates are still at odds over how to get a grip on the issue, and in the meantime, according to Katherine Mangu-Ward, Americans need to come to grips with one simple fact:
America cannot stop every terrorist attack.
It’s impossible, especially in the current political climate where theater and the appearance of safety are more important than true, meaningful changes.
