According to reports from the Daily Caller, the democratic socialist introduced the $16.3-trillion-dollar plan, claiming his changes would create 20 million new jobs and pay for itself in 15 years. Sanders specifically aims to turn 100% of energy used in the U.S. into forms of electricity and transportation renewable by 2030. His plan also includes a change to “complete decarbonization” in the U.S. by 2050.
“As President, Bernie Sanders will boldly embrace the moral imperative of climate change and mobilize the political will necessary for a wholesale transformation of our society, with massive investments in sustainable energy, energy efficiency, and a transformation of our transportation system.” Sanders plan reads.

Bernie Sanders climate plan will supposedly include factors like moving away from the use of fossil fuels, re-joining the Paris climate accord and spending TRILLIONS of dollars to help workers in fuel and coal industries.
Bernie’s climate plan also puts emphasis on “justice for frontline communities,” which provides financial aid to “minority communities.” Specifically, “communities of color, Native Americans, people with disabilities, children and the elderly will be able to recover from, and prepare for climate impacts, including through a $40 billion Climate Justice Resiliency Fund.” Via the Daily Caller.

Democrat candidates continue to push climate change during their campaigns. We’ve seen candidates such as Joe Biden, Beto O’Rourke, Elizabeth Warren and Corey Booker introduce climate change plans as essential bases of their presidential campaign messaging.
