The successful and longstanding children’s cartoon “My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic” recently incorporated a “lesbian pony couple” into their most recent episode of its final concluding season…
According to the Daily Caller, “The character Scootaloo will appear alongside the show’s two new characters, ‘Aunt Holiday’ and ‘Aunt Lofty.’ The episode is set to air during the height of gay pride month as millions across the country participate in rallies to celebrate LGBT Pride. Back in 2017, it was confirmed by show writer Micheal Vogel that the two characters are a lesbian couple:”
Vogel recently reaffirmed his 2017 notion about the same sex characters, releasing a tweet that strangely connected the children’s cartoon characters to equality and pride month. “Hey hey!!! @NicoleDubuc , @joshhaber and I doin[g] what we can to bring more EQuality to EQuestria!! #PrideMonth” Said Vogel’s twitter post.
“I think it’s fantastic that we can show that what truly defines a family is love — that, to me, is the core of ‘My Little Pony,'” said show producer Nicole Dubac to Buzzfeed News. Vogel agreed with his colleague, saying, “Nicole and I thought this was a great opportunity to organically introduce an LGBTQ couple in the series, and we asked Hasbro and they approved it.” Via the Daily Caller.
Although the homosexual characters in the “My little Pony” cartoon have raised concerns from thousands of parents across the country, the show is actually not the first children’s cartoon to “explicitly mention two characters sexuality.” Just last month, the kids show “Arthur,” released information about the sexuality of the longtime character “Mr. Ratburn,” claiming the character was indeed a gay man. “Arthur” even featured “Mr. Ratburn” getting married to another man during the opener of the most recent season.
Parents have become extremely concerned with cartoon’s decision to openly inform, and subject such young children to specifics of sexuality…
Christian advocate Ken Ham notes, “It seems more and more companies are jumping on the bandwagon of the war against children to destroy them by drawing them into depravity. This is a reminder to parents as you consider TV programs, purchasing books, toys, etc., for children, to keep this in mind at all times.” Via the Daily Caller.
Although these sexuality specific cartoons have aired the episodes which included the homosexual couples, petitions were created by the “One Million Moms” organization to combat the inappropriate and forced inclusion of gay characters during the kids programming. The organization is demanding all child networks to pull all current LGBTQ content. Via the Daily Caller.
“Please sign our petition urging Cartoon Network to put a stop to pushing the LGBTQ agenda by deleting the “Happy Pride” ad immediately and no longer airing programs with same-sex couples.” States the One Million Moms petition.
The petition has already accumulated thousands of names but both episodes remained on the regular TV schedule, and eventually went on to air on multiple child programming platforms.
