The FBI arrested and detained a Syrian refugee on Wednesday, after discovering plans to blow up a local Christian church in the name of ISIS. The 21 year old, Mustafa Mousab Alowemer, will be officially charged with one count of providing “material support and resources” to members of the Islamic State. Alowemer will also be charged with two counts of “disturbing information” relating to explosive devices, destructive tools or any form of weapon of mass destruction. Via the Daily Caller.

The official criminal complaint reports, the ISIS collaborator was born in Daraa, Syria, and was admitted into the United States with “refugee” status on August 1st, 2016. Federal prosecutors believe Alowemer recently graduated from Brashear high school in Pittsburgh. He currently holds no U.S. passport...
Federal prosecutors tasked with spearheading the case, determined Alowemer’s reasoning behind the attack plans was to “take revenge for our [ISIS] brothers in Nigeria.” According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Mustafa Alowemer specifically planned the attack on Legacy International Worship Center, a Christian based church who is known to have a predominately black following.

According to multiple reports, The FBI has gathered clear evidence that “Alowemer recently bought a number of items that could be used in making a bomb. He was seen on Sunday and Monday buying six boxes of nails for possible shrapnel.” Via wtae.com.
FBI agents discovered details of Alowemer’s violent plot after chatting online, and conducting multiple in person meetings. The 21 year old thought he was collaborating with a fellow ISIS supporter on social media and encrypted messaging apps, but Alowemer was actually talking to undercover FBI agents…

“During his communications, Alowemer stated his support for ISIS, and his desire to answer the call for jihad or travel to conduct jihad,” prosecutors said. The FBI also caught Alowemer with multiple videos of himself pledging his alliance to ISIS leader, Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi. Via wtae.com.
“During the most recent meeting, Alowemer allegedly provided a confidential human source with copies of Google maps that he had printed of the church. He also provided a 10-point plan that detailed the operation, which he hoped to carry out next month.” Via the Daily Caller.
