According to Fox News reports, Iran launched an estimate of 15 ballistic style missiles into Iraq, and specifically launching at U.S. air bases housing American soldiers. Approximately 10 missiles were launched at the Ain al-Asad Air Base, one missile was launched at the military base in Erbil and four missiles failed were rogue, completely missing their intended targets. These ballistic attacks were carried out in two separate strikes, which are thought to be within an hour apart.
Current reports determine that “no United States casualties” occurred during the missile strikes in Iraq.
Video from locations close to the U.S. bases in Iraq have now surfaced, catching part of the strike in realtime, demonstrating the violent severity of the situation...

President Trump immediately responded to the ballistic strikes on Tuesday night via Twitter.
“All is well! Missiles launched from Iran at two military bases located in Iraq. Assessment of casualties & damages taking place now. So far, so good! We have the most powerful and well-equipped military anywhere in the world, by far! I will be making a statement tomorrow morning.”
Pentagon officials confirmed the Iranian strikes and later released a detailed statement to the public.

“At approximately 5:30 p.m. (EST) on January 7, Iran launched more than a dozen ballistic missiles against U.S. military and coalition forces in Iraq,” according to the statement. “It is clear that these missiles were launched from Iran and targeted at least two Iraqi military bases hosting U.S. military and coalition personnel at Al-Assad and Irbil.”
“In recent days and in response to Iranian threats and actions, the Department of Defense has taken all appropriate measures to safeguard our personnel and partners. These bases have been on high alert due to indications that the Iranian regime planned to attack our forces and interests in the region. As we evaluate the situation and our response, we will take all necessary measures to protect and defend U.S. personnel, partners, and allies in the region.”
President Trump has continued warned Iran about their actions on multiple occasions, but the Middle Eastern country continues to act with violent and terroristic intent. These actions, if not handled swiftly and correctly, could result in direct American deaths. Trump truly understands this notion, signaling that the U.S. would respond “strongly” to this retaliation from Iran.
