There's no doubt, LeBron's legacy of being a part-time activist is compromised by his one-sided biased uneducated views https://t.co/9iF8pOMLTf— Wayne Dupree 🎙🎥 (@WayneDupreeShow) October 15, 2019
James’s comments stem directly from Rockets GM Daryl Morey’s tweet in support of pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong.
The Rockets GM crafted his Hong Kong support tweet on October 4th, simply stating: “Fight for freedom, stand with Hong Kong.”
Immediately the Chinese government went on to cancel Houston Rocket events and numerous scheduled business deals with the organization within China. The NBA decided to denounce Morey’s tweet, choosing to maintain a lucrative relationship with communist China and protect their bottom line, instead of standing in support of the needed freedom and democracy in China. On Monday, Los Angeles Laker star LeBron James spoke with media members about the ongoing dilemma between communist China and the NBA. James, who claims to be a social justice leader and “more than an athlete,” called out the Rockets GM for his supporting tweet, claiming Morey’s words has and will “cause people to be physically harmed.” LeBron went on to say Daryl Morey is actually “misinformed and uneducated” on the Hong Kong situation. “I’m not here to judge how the league handled the situation," the perennial All-Star told reporters in Los Angeles on Monday night.
"I just think that, when you’re misinformed, or you’re not educated about something – and I’m just talking about the tweet itself – you never know the ramifications that can happen. We all see what that did, not only did for our league but for all of us in America, for people in China as well. Sometimes you have to think through the things that you say that may cause harm not only for yourself but for the majority of people. I think that’s just a prime example of that.” James Said.
The NBA and their biggest star have taken immense amounts of criticism following the decision to stand with communist China and denounce Morey’s Honk Kong tweet. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has tried to provide some damage control, stating the Rockets GM has his right to free speech, but obviously too much damage was already inflicted. Via Fox News.
Back in January 2018, James tweeted a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: "-Injustice Anywhere Is A Threat To Justice Everywhere- Our Lives Begin To End The Day We Become Silent About Things That Matter- #ThankYouMLK50."

In 2019, LeBron James’s rhetoric seems to ring a bit different…
James continues to claim he is a fighter for those who face injustice, but the growing list of contradictions points to the all-star simply being the NBA and the left’s political pawn. LeBron James sternly declares himself to be “more than an athlete,” but after his latest display it’s quite obvious his “social justice” act only holds true when it benefits his pockets and the toxic left agenda.
