Record numbers of unaccompanied illegal immigrant children have now crossed the U.S.-Mexico border and transferred over to numerous federal care facility locations within the U.S. It is estimated that upwards of 61,000 unaccompanied migrant children entered the U.S. system since October, with over two months left in the fiscal year, the record number is projected to grow even larger...

The number of unaccompanied illegal children from the current fiscal year (which isn’t over) has towered the total number from 2018’s fiscal year. According to the Washington Examiner, 2018 saw 49,100 illegal unaccompanied children cross into the United States.

Director of the Office of Refugee Resettlement at DHS, Jonathan H. Hayes, reported the agency is seeing unsettling amounts of unaccompanied illegal minors surging across the border. The agency, in one day, held highs that were close to 14,000 illegal children. During this fiscal year, HHS saw no fewer than 11,000 UAC’s in custody at any given time. Via the Daily Caller.

"The number of UAC entering the United States during this fiscal year has risen to levels we have never before seen," Said Hayes.

Multiple officials testified in front of the House Judiciary Committee, citing the need for “congressional action,” and desperate changes to our flawed immigration system…

According to reports from the Washington Examiner:

“Partisanship flashed at the hearing, with Chairman Jerry Nadler citing examples of poor immigrant conditions.

But Brian S. Hastings, chief of Customs and Border Protection law enforcement operations, pushed back hard and rapped Democratic attacks on border agents.

In his testimony, he said that illegals who have surged into the U.S. beyond numbers the Border Patrol can handle have received proper care and attention. He added that there has ‘never been a shortage’ of food or healthcare items.”

The reasoning behind why there has “never been a shortage of food or healthcare items” is because our government agencies tasked with the overwhelming immigration problem, has spent over $230 million on goods for ILLEGAL immigrants!!! These goods include items like food, snacks, water, hygiene kits, diapers, clothes and baby formula. Via the Daily Caller.

Although extravagant amounts of money was spent to house these unaccompanied ILLEGAL migrant children, Democrats continue to criticize the out of control border crisis in general.

Recently, AOC talked about unfair treatment and practices by our immigration agencies, comparing holding conditions to those held in Nazi “concentration camps.” Via the Daily Caller.

However, Chief of Customs and Border Protection Law and Enforcement Operations, Brian Hastings, felt like AOC’s description of the detention centers were completely falseified and unhinged...

According to Hastings:

“The temporary structures are weatherproof, climate-controlled, and provide areas for eating, sleeping, recreation and personal hygiene. These facilities include shower trailers, chemical toilets and sinks, laundry trailers, sleeping mats, personal property storage boxes, lockers, power, kitchen equipment, food/snacks/water, clothing, and hygiene kits. Border Patrol has invested over $230 million in humanitarian support such as consumables, including meals, snacks, baby formula, shampoo, diapers, and other hygiene items; enhanced medical support; and increased transportation services.”

The holding centers have NEVER had a shortage of items, or restricted access to ordered facilities.
