Gary Johnson Knows How to Gaffe

Only a few weeks removed from his “What is Aleppo?” gaffe, Libertarian candidate for President, Gary Johnson has done it again… this time saying that he was “…just grateful that nobody got hurt,” in the Chelsea explosions.

The New York Post reports:

“Getting more exposure has come with another gaffe for Libertarian Gary Johnson.

The third-party candidate was asked for his response to the frightening Chelsea explosion Saturday night, the pipe bomb in New Jersey and stabbings in Minnesota.

“Well, first of all, just grateful that nobody got hurt,” Johnson proclaimed on CNN’s “Reliable Sources” Sunday.

Twenty-nine people were injured in Chelsea alone and nine people were stabbed at a St. Cloud mall.

It’s the second damaging TV clip for Johnson whopreviously said “What is Allepo?” on MSNBC during a discussion about the war-torn Syrian city.

CNN’s Brian Stelter didn’t correct Johnson during the interview and tweeted afterward “Johnson misspoke” and that Johnson “didn’t believe my ears at the time.”

Johnson issued a separate statement later in the afternoon acknowledging the injuries.
