Joy Behar and The View Co-Hosts Scorn Mike Pence for Strong Christian Faith

The View, Joy Behr and co-stars suggest he has a “mental illness” because he talks to god.

Joy Behar and her co-hosts from the ABC broadcast show The View recently spoke about the Vice President Mike Pence, specifically about the importance of his faith and his strong bond with God. They used their airtime to belittle and mock Pence, going as far as saying VP has a “mental illness” because he said Jesus has spoken to him.

Over a stretch of ten minutes, Joy Behar and her co-stars spewed rude and hateful comments about the Christian religion that offended millions of people all over the world.

“As bad as you think Trump is, you would be worried about Pence… everyone that is wishing for impeachment might want to reconsider their life,” Behr said during the show.

She also added in “I am Christian, I love Jesus, but he thinks Jesus tells him to say things.”

Behar’s co-hosts then add in their two cents. “I think what’s interesting is that she said Jesus tells Mike Pence things to say.” Said Sunny Hostin. Hostin claims that Vice President Pence is hated in Indiana, the state where he was a former governor. She has come to this conclusion because she attended law school in the state.

Behar was not finished. “It’s one thing to talk to Jesus. It’s another thing when Jesus talks to you.” Behar said hearing voices is a “mental illness.”

“As a Christian, that’s just par for the course. You talk to Jesus, Jesus talks back. What concerns me is, how long is the conversation with Jesus?” Sherri Sheppard said.

Hostin jumped back in by asking “Do we want our politics served to us with a religious veneer over them? This administration is not a values-driven administration.”

These comments about the relationship and bond our Vice President has with his faith is without a doubt hateful and horrid. No matter what way you look at it, the comments made by the cast of The View were rude and offensive to not only VP Pence but to Christians all over the world.

If Joy Behar and her co-stars make these type of controversial comments with a different religion, for example, the religion of Islam, she would have been fired and replaced already. If ABC received the amount of backlash they did from a different religious group, apologies would have already been in the works.

The Christian community has shown an immense amount of backlash to the broadcast company ABC, especially on twitter. The hashtag #firebehar was even trending, many upset Christians are calling for the removal of Behar from the show, along with her termination from ABC.
