    • Miguel Diaz-Canel has been elected President of Cuba and has taken over power from Raul Castro, which is the first time in nearly 60 years that Cuba has not been led by a member of the Castro family. The transition seems to have happened peacefully, and Castro remains the head of the Communist Party in Cuba, but this transition marks a historic moment for the country.

 

 

  • Lawmakers, legal watchdog pursue discipline for Andrew McCabe – The Washington Times
    • A legal watchdog filed a “bar grievance” former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe for lying under oath about a media leak he coordinated in 2016. Republicans in Congress have also referred the case to the Department of Justice for criminal charges.
